Reflection:

So I may have been exaggerating a little bit, like maybe 10% of the review is probably over the top. But the other 90% is definitely what happened. When I wrote this, I wanted to make a restaurant review that would just be fun to read. As well as making sure I give you readers an accurate account of my experience at the restaurant. So… I hope this cynical restaurant review brightened your day πŸ˜€

  1. Wow, Ethan, after reading your restaurant review, I am scared to even think about this restaurant. Your descriptive language was so vivid that it gave me chills. Your voice and ideas are very strong, and I like how you covered all aspects of the restaurant to give us a complete review. It was really helpful that you also commented on the hygiene, which I didn’t see from other reviews. I will 100% not go to Cafe 100%!

  2. Wow! You just single-handedly convinced me to never visit this restaurant. I thought it was interesting that you chose to review a restaurant that had given you unpleasant memories in the past; it definitely provided a unique perspective to your writing. Another thing that I appreciate about your writing is your voice. The unique voice that you used really allowed me to get a glimpse into your personality and made your writing more β€œyou”. In addition to all of that, I like that you mentioned the hygiene especially since we’re in the middle of a pandemic. One thing that would make your writing even better is if you could make your descriptions appeal to all of the senses: sight, hearing, smell, and taste. I’m certain that if you added those to your writing, your descriptions would be super entertaining to read. Great job, Ethan.

  3. Out of all the pieces I’ve read, this is the funniest one by far. The phrase “scrumptious liquid gold” was a nice touch as it provided me with an image of the food without needing to read the rest of its description. I liked how you went ham and stomped on the restaurant without mercy. The comparisons to other well-known restaurants also helped me understand just how dirty the place looked. However, I would like you to know that it’s “Saizeriya”, not “Saizeria”.

  4. You definitely wrote a restaurant review that was fun to read! I really like how you described each aspect so vividly, using really dramatic words and phrases that stand out. My favourite part was your explanation for the rating you gave the restaurant. That concluded your review really well. I like how you detailed every aspect of the restaurant, from hygiene to the service. Good job!!!!!
